I left Mt. Vernon area and moved with my husband at the time to Biloxi, MS while he was in the Air Force. We relocated to Andrews AFB and were fortunate to be close to family. After his service, we moved to Blacksburg and attended Va Tech (then known at VPI & SU). After graduation, we traveled to Tampa/St Petersburg, FL with our young children and stayed there until moving to Key Largo and then Duck Key in the Florida Keys. I recently moved back to Brickell Key in Miami.
How often do you get back to Alexandria?

Annually...my sister and her husband live in Fairfax.

Do you still see/talk to/hang out with any classmates? Who?

A few. Mary Ellen (Welsh) Ryder and Kate Kelly. And other classmates older than myself.

What are your memories of high school (i.e. secret crush, embarrassing moment, funniest thing you did in high school, favorite high school hang out, favorite teachers)?

I enjoyed history, art class and German language class after living in Germany during my junior high school years. Spent quite a bit of time at Ft. Hunt Park with friends and bike riding on the bike path along the GW parkway when it first opened.

Biggest thing you would do differently if you went back to your time at high school?

Focus more on studying and engaging in school activities.
