I come home at least once a year, sometimes two or three. I always stay with Barbara Burke class of 1971.

Barbara Burke has been a lifelong blessing in my life. She has seen me through many good times and equally bad times. I could not have made the orbit around the sun this many years without her.

Looking back on it, Mr. Levy my history teacher was my most memorable teacher. The discussions in his class were controversial and really made me think. One day when the class was sleeping and not listening, he threw a thick heavy book at the back wall to wake us up! I dare say, that his tactics and style would not be tolerated by the school board now. I also loved my biology teacher Mrs. Roseau and my English teacher Mrs. Sanders. Both of these teachers made learning fun. We laughed and enjoyed our time in these classes.

I would not have skipped any classes, nor would I have been so anxious to leave. I would have smelled the roses and lived more in the moment.
