I have had two businesses. From 1984 to 1986, I wrote a 30,000 line assembler program for the Apple ][ which engraved sheet music to a digital plotter. Sold quite a few of these but did not make a real success in the software biz. After another career in Washington DC as a network architect, I “burned out,” quit my 6 figure job and moved to the OBX in North Carolina where I ran a pool service company for 9 years.

I live now a couple blocks from the site on which The Sherman House Hotel formerly stood in Chicago, IL, where I performed with the FHHS Symphonic Concert Band at the Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic in 1970.

In the previous 3 years, I have met up with Frank Wickes at the Mid-West Band and Orchestra Clinic - now held at McCormick Place in Chicago.

I attained a private pilot license in 1991 and have accumulated about 400 hours since. As of 2021, I am current with a Biannual Flight Review this June.

I have completed 3 marathon races. Marine Corps in DC, OBX in NC and The Chicago Marathon.

Being the Solo First Cornet, Drum Major, and student conductor of the GREAT FHHS Symphonic Concert Band.

I would grow up sooner than I did.
