Brendan Wilson

Since my retirement in 2018, I have completed law school and written two sci-fi novels. The Achilles Battle Fleet (2021), and Warrior Goddess (2024). Both novels have a martial arts theme, and they are part of the Mei Ling Lee series. More to follow.

I’m still training in the martial arts. In 2024, I was inducted into the Action Martial Arts Hall of Honor, and awarded Grandmaster of the Year.

Twenty-five years in the army, US Army airborne ranger.

Fifteen years at NATO, with service in Iraq, Libya, Kosovo, Bosnia, Belarus and Ukraine.

Wrote and produced two award-winning films and a web series.

Created Aristos Martial Arts.

Wrote two sci-fi novels.

Won the silver medal in the 2009 US Open for Taekwondo.

My sci-fi novel, the Achilles Battle Fleet, will be published by Literate Ape Press in the fall of 2021.

Now retired, writing science fiction, finishing law school.

Married to FHHS 1976 graduate Kay Arnold in July 2021!

Once a year or so.

I occasionally visit with Louis Genuario, Kevin Gahart, Charley Davenport and Gary Shepp.

When I went to the 20th reunion in 1996, someone came up to me to see who I was. This was someone I had known in high school. He seemed surprised to learn who I was, and even more surprised that I was a major in the army. Struggling with this new information, he said, "So you are . . . employed?" True story.

My senior year I briefly dated Kay Arnold. Allegedly, I kissed another girl at a party. The next day, Kay met me in the hall at Fort Hunt and told me that she had heard about it and that we were done. Forty-four years later, I was attending a middle school history fair as an evaluator at Northern Illinois University. The event organizers paired each of the participants to walk together through the displays. I was paired with one Dr. Kay Arnold Caster. Fifteen months later we were married. We’ll see you at the reunion!

I would take back every unkindness I gave out, even those that were unintentional.
