DECEASED TEACHER: THEODORE "TED" COLNA, TEACHER & BASEBALL COACH

Coach Ron Grow reported that Teacher, Baseball Coach & Football Coach Ted Colna passed away recently. Mr. Colna was the baseball coach for more that 20 years at FHHS, then took his skills to West Potomac High School and continued to contribute to the school there.
We will pass along any details that we get for Coach Colna when they are received.

So sorry to hear this news. Played baseball for Coach Colna one year and found him to be excellent in his work at an excellent school. He made the sport so enjoyable. Don't remember playing for him in fooball but played first base as a frosh and Chris Miller pitching, I think. Chris almost broke my hand with an errant pickoff throw that I unconsciously caught with my bare hand. That could have changed my career! All good, though. Fort Hunt left an indelible mark on many of us and was the foundation for many succesful lives of its graduates.
