Subject: Herb Mayher (FH '70) death confirmation
Friends,
the closest I've come to online confirmation of Herb Mayher's death is this listing of the sale of the house at his last known address in Shady Side, MD. The seller is "the estate of Herbert Manning Mayher". The other Mayher noted to the record appears to be his younger brother Peter V. Mayher (FH '78).

I found a FB profile for a Herb Mayher who graduated from FH, but there was no obvious recent activity. In checking his FB friends, though, I came across a Leslie Hannah Mayher, who I thought might be a wife, but turns out to be a sister-in-law. She and his older brother, Rick Mayher were FH '66 grads. She had set up an alumni assn profile, and also was part of the FH FB group, so I contacted her through that. Here is her reply, confirming Herb's death, as well as the deaths of Rick Mayher (FH '66) and James Mayher (FH '79):
"Hello Ann, thank you for reaching out. I was married to Rick Mayher. Sadly he passed in 2008. Herb passed several years ago. I loved him- such a terrific brother in law. He had a place on the Chesapeake Bay. He didn’t really get in touch very often, sadly. Peter Mayher is the only surviving Mayher. Their youngest brother, Jim passed long before Rick. Our daughter, Kim, lives here in Austin, as do I. Our grandson, just got married on May 1 - a couple of weeks ago! I hope I have given you enough history. Have fun at the reunion!"

If I recall correctly, Herb passed away around 2018. I had contracted his Leslie and she informed me of his passing Rick Mayher passed in 2008
