Jeanie (Betty Jean) Locklin Van Trees, 50, died of colon cancer on July 27 at Fairfax Hospital. She is survived by her children, Robert, 13, and Becca, 8, and her husband Stephen P. Van Trees, all of Reston. She is also survived by her parents Robert and Betty Jean Locklin of Franklin, W.Va.; her sister Eleanor Brown of Chapel Hill, N.C.; her brother Lawrence of Centreville and her brother Tracy of Washington D.C. She was a graduate of Bethany College, Bethany, W.Va. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to INOVA Fairfax Hospital, 3300 Gallows Road, Falls Church, VA 22030, Tower 9 Oncology Nursing Fund, attention: Joyce Agricola.

Jeanie was the best sister you could ever have. We all miss her, but I'm sure she, mom and mamaw are having a grand time up in heaven. I lost them all too soon. With love, Eleanor.
