Robert Willis "Rob" Seay - Class Of 1969

Robert W. Seay, 59 of Mason, OH passed away April 28th. Originally from VA, he traveled the world with his Air Force family. He is the son of the late Lt. Col and Mrs. Woodrow Seay of Alexandria, VA. Robert and Joan were "military brats" who traveled the world with their parents before they came to Alexandria, VA where they met and became high school sweethearts. Upon graduation from Campbell University Robert was hired by Campbell Soup Co. and worked for them for 25 years. It was Campbell's who brought him to Cincinnati. He then went to work for Monterey Mushrooms of California until his recent death. Rob shared his love of the beach and the special time it afforded him, his family and friends at their home in Duck, NC. Family was most important to him as were his friendships. He was most proud of his daughters and their many accomplishments. He loved being with people, entertaining, cooking, Bruce Springsteen music, the Washington Redskins and sharing his love and knowledge of wine. Robert is survived by his wife, Joan, of 36 years and his two daughters: Katie George and his son-in-law John George, of Hinsdale, IL and his daughter, Kimberly Seay of Mason, OH. Also surviving are his sisters, Bruce Blankenship of Alexandria, VA and Joyce Staver of Valrico, FL and his nieces and a nephew. A mass for Robert will be celebrated at Xavier University's Bellarmine Chapel at 11:00 am on June 5, 2010. The family will receive family and friends at their home following the service. Memorials in lieu of flowers could be made to Xavier University or the Humane Society.

"Rob and I were great friends during high school and after. We partied like crazy sharing fun times and lots of laughs. He was a long time employee of Campbell's Soup Company (25 years) and more recently Monterrey Mushroom Corp. He and wife Joan Pinnell Seay had two wonderful daughters and lived in the Cincinnati area. Joan has moved to the Chicago area as of 2013 to be closer to the girls and grand kids." ~Greg Merrick, Class of '68
