Dave Alderson passed away on Memorial Day 2003 from a heart attack. He was 52 years old at the time and a 1969 graduate of Fort Hunt High School.
As a long-time Fort Hunt area resident, Dave knew everybody in the area and had a large group of friends. He played music locally for many years and was considered to be an exceptional bass player. I can personally attest to Dave's stage prescence, as he throroughly enjoyed each performance, always smiling, telling jokes to the audience and cutting-up with his bandmates.
Dave was survived by his wife Peggy, his adult daughter Elly, his brothers Dan & Dick and his parents Frank & Pat. He rests today at Mount Comfort Cemetary.
If you had a conversation with Dave he made you feel that you were his best friend. He is sorely missed by all who knew him.
