Phillip was such a sweetheart.  I knew him since the 2nd grade at Hollin Hall.  In 7th grade he took me to my first dance and we had such a ball.  I remember exactly what I wore and how his father drove up.  We were in art classes together every year and both got sent to a special art camp for budding artists.  He budded, my art turned never bloomed but we had a great time.  So sorry to hear these many year late about his death.  Drew Bullard Everett

Phil was kind, funny, and oh-so-gifted. I am sorry to hear of his passing and how and when it came. I have always cherished the artwork he did in my yearbook -- a drawing of the set of the senior class play (which we both worked on). How wonderful that his talent became his life's work.
