I saw an obituary in Wednesday, 11/26 Washington Post that caught my eye.  Michael Kent Ranney passed away 11/23/14.  I didn't really know Mike--maybe just to say hello in the hallway.  The only contact I really remember was when I was accompanying Cindy Livesay on guitar for a song she was singing in a talent show, she brought Mike in to accompany her as well.  I wasn't involved with Cindy other than playing guitar for her on one song, but remember being a little disappointed that she needed Mike to accompany her as well.  The obituary relates that Mike has a loving family and friends, that he was successful in business and loved his job.  It sounds like, all in all, Mike had a good life, but has left family and friends far too soon.
