Fort Hunt Alumni will remember Marsha Kay Jarvis best from her Junior and Senior years when she was a Varsity Cheerleader and for participating in beauty pageants. Later in life she became best known locally for "Marsha's Produce and Antique Store" which she operated from 1987-2001. She was a regular vendor every Saturday morning at the Old Town Farmer's Market from 1987-2011.

She embraced life, enjoying her free time with her husband, grandchildren and beloved dog at their mountain and river cabins. Marsha faced terminal cancer with unbelievable resilience, humor and courage up until the end of her life. Her family will remember her as a beautiful, vivacious, strong, creative, fun, smiling hard working and loving person.

In respect of her wishes, there was a small private ceremony with just her family to say goodbye. Marsha was cremated so that her ashes can be part of the two places she loved most in the world, her mountain and river cabins. She asked that donations be made in her memory to the Fairfax County Humane Society to help support animals in need.
