James Weidenhamer Obituary

James Louis Weidenhamer, 65, of Ruckersville, VA passed away on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at his residence. He was born on June 6, 1957, in Omaha, Nebraska to the late William and Irene Weidenhamer.

He is survived by his wife of 26 years, Nancy Weidenhamer; his children, Matthew Louis Weidenhamer, Nathan Eldon Weidenhamer, Rachel June Weidenhamer, and Rebecca Irene Weidenhamer; his siblings, Joan Law, and Thomas Weidenhamer (wife, Lorrie); brother-in-law, David Ronka; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ronka; and his brother-in-law, Bruce Law.

A Celebration of Life was held on Monday, January 16, 2023, at 2 p.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, LDS Chapel, 801 Balls Bluff Rd NE, Leesburg, VA 20176, with Bishop John Lowry officiating. The family received friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. in the LDS Chapel, prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to support patient care and clinical research in the Richard R. Dart ALS Clinic at UVA Health.
