There was a memorial service Wednesday, November 15, 2023 for Tom Van der Voort (FHHS Class 1983) at L'Orangerie at the Forum Hotel at UVA Darden School of Business, 540 Massie Road, Charlottesville, VA 22903 from 3-4 pm.

Additional info:

Sadly, he died in a bike race.  During the race, he hit a rock or something.  This caused him to get thrown off his bike.  He was wearing a helmet but the impact was just way too much. He may have landed on the back of his head. Medical responders came quickly and they transported him in a helicopter to the hospital but he died before reaching the hospital.
