Hello my former classmates,

My brother Mark Vandersluis passed away and I wanted to share his wife Amie's note below:

"I am moved and comforted by all the kind thoughts and remembrances shared about our wonderful Mark. For those who can make the trip, there will be a wake for Mark on Monday, May 25th from 6-9 pm at Gawler's Funeral Home, 5130 Wisconsin Ave., NW, Washington, DC, 20016. The memorial service will be held on Tuesday, May 26 at 10am at St. Alban's Episcopal Church, 3001 Wisconsin Ave, NW, Washington, DC 20016."

MARK STUART VANDERSLUIS On Tuesday, May 19, 2015, Mark Stuart Vandersluis, 51, of Washington, DC. Beloved husband of Amie Vandersluis; devoted step-father of Julianna and Allison; brother of Jan, Patrick, Robert, Howard, Julie, his late brother Gregg and his stepbrother, Kevin. Mark is also survived by his father Howard J. Vandersluis, Jr, and his 15 nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Joseph Gawler's Sons, 5130 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington DC 20016 on Monday May 25, 2015 from 6 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Saint Alban's Episcopal Church, 3001 Wisconsin Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016 on Tuesday May 26, 2015 at 10 a.m. Interment will take place following services at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, Virginia.
