Patricia was born in Oklahoma to a military family that traveled the globe. They settled in Alex, VA where she went to school and graduated from Fort Hunt High School. She married Larry Herman in 1980, had 3 children, Jennifer, Christopher, and Jason and had 6 grandchildren.
