Marjorie (Susan) Hoffman, 63, of Alexandria, VA, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, October 29, 2022 surrounded by her loving family and friends after a courageous battle against cancer. Born on January 15, 1959 in Washington, D.C., Susan was the oldest child born to Robert Joseph Stickell and Marjorie Madeline Landzert of Alexandria, VA.

Susan was a graduate of Fort Hunt H.S. and attended Virginia Tech. She married her high school sweetheart, Harry Clay (Mike) Hoffman IV and they gave birth to three wonderful boys: Christopher Robert Hoffman, Harry Clay Hoffman V and Robert Allen Hoffman.

She worked in operations for Merrill Lynch and also had a successful career as a realtor in Sparta, NJ. Along the way she had many co-workers which become not just dear friends, but a part of her family.

Susan was an amazing mother, daughter, sister, friend, partner, confidant and was the rock and glue that kept family, friends, and co-workers together. She always had a kind word and a big smile no matter the time or place. Some of Susan’s favorite things included baking, entertaining in her home, gardening and sitting by a fire with her boys.

Susan is predeceased by her beloved parents, Margie and Bob Stickell. She is survived by her sons: Chris, Clay, and Robbie; brothers Bob and David, and many nieces and nephews.
