Father lives in Stafford VA, (92 years old); visit him a few times a year.

Frank B. Wickes, the band director at FHHS during my time there (1968-1972, was a great influence on my life, musically. After graduating from Arkansas Tech in 1976 with a B.A. in Music Education, he was instrumental in me coming to the University of Florida for my M.F.A. in Music Performance (1978) and then Ph.D. in Music History and Literature (1980). I was his Graduate Assistant from 1976-1978 during his tenure as the Director of Bands for UF before he went to LSU. He passed away in April, 2020. All who were blessed to have been under his musical leadership have great memories of the maestro.
