Diane Elizabeth Greer, 53, of Fredericksburg, a beautiful, caring, and tender soul went peacefully to Heaven on Tuesday, May 24, 2011.

Born on August 13, 1957, she was a devoted mother, wife, sister, aunt and friend to all that knew her. The unconditional love, support and encouragement she gave her family will forever be missed.

Diane shared her life with her loving husband, John Greer. She is deeply cherished and remembered by her son, Jason Ralston; her sisters and brother, Mildred Showers, Linda Tague, Denise Bayliss and Steven Malvin; her sister and brother- in-laws, Sharon Malvin, Jennifer Greer, Nicole and Chris Gibson, Thomas Tague, and Michael Bayliss, Sr.; her mother and father-in-law, Mariann and Frank Greer; her grandchildren, Ashley, Taylor, Collin, and Chase; nieces and nephews, Alison, Kristina, Nikki, Michael Jr., Bryan, Jessica, Rebecca, Stephanie, Emma, Jackson, Ryan, Ethan and Erin; her dogs, Mason, Daisy and Spencer.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents Thaddeus John Malvin and Adele Virginia Rainey, her Stepfather Vivian “Daddy Bill Rainey”, as well as her brother-in-law William J. “Billy” Greer.

Diane worked for the Department of Defense for over twenty-five years, recently retiring from the Defense Logistics Agency. She touched many lives over the course of her life and is leaving a bouquet of memories that will live on.

The Malvin sisters what else needed saying, sweet and hot like a fine barbeque sauce.

I think I liked Diane best or was it Denise durn, now I have stumped my ownself.

Diane was always in your corner I really Dug (yes) Dug her.
