Mark's dad sent us the following information:

Mark attended Fort Hunt from November '75 until the fire shut Ft. Hunt High and forced his move to another school.  Mark passed away on 27 December 2006. 

Mark's family moved to Southern California in 1979 because of my job change.  Mark graduated with the class of 1980 from Torrey Pines High School, San Diego, California.  He later graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a degree in Political Science.   As a student he worked in theUniversity Hospital Laboratory .  This led to his post-graduation career in biomedical technology as the developer, and then manager of a new endocrinology research lab atUCSD. 
 
He married Tracy Cooke, a research microbiologist, in 1991.  They lived in Poway, California. There were no children.  He served as the treasurer of his homeowners association.  Mark loved reading science fiction, strategic war board gaming, the theater, and skiing.   He suffered from liver disease and received an organ transplant in 2004.  Unfortunately the transplant failed.

Mark is survived by his ex-wife, Tracy Cooke.
