Albert L. “Al” Perreault 65, of Fredericksburg died Sunday, March 14, 2004 at Mary Washington Hospital due to complications from surgery. He was a retired teacher from Fairfax County Schools and was the former track and cross country coach at Ft. Hunt High School. He had served as a scout master. Upon retirement he became a full time substitute teacher with the Spotsylvania County School system, mostly working at Chancellor High School. He was an avid carpenter and craftsman. He was a member of Tabernacle United Methodist Church where he had served as a lay leader, an outreach leader, taught Sunday school and worked with the youth group. He was a member of the United Methodist Men and was the current president of the Chancellor Ruritan Club.
 
Survivors include his loving wife, Sue Perreault; a son, Terry Len Perreault and his wife, Rhmalda, of Partlow; four daughters, Robin Perreault Chilton and her husband, Mike, of White Oak; Pamela Perreault Neal and her husband, Scott; Cheryl Perreault and Michelle Perreault Neller and her husband, Harry, all of Spotsylvania; He was “Pappy” to 13 loving grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Bernadine Jines and her husband, Gene, of Fairborn, Ohio and Barbara Bogner of South Dakota; one brother, Leroy Perreault of South Dakota and numerous nieces and nephews.
 
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, March 18 at Covenant Funeral Service Chapel with Rev. Steve Hay officiating. Burial will follow in Tabernacle United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Wed., March 17 at the funeral home.
