Rather than an acknowledgement with flowers, the Somerville family has specifically requested donations to the Mercy Care Hospice that was so very supportive of making his life comfortable over the past several weeks. Memorial contributions should be made to Mercy Care Hospice, 8216 Devon Court, Myrtle Beach, SC, 29572, 843-848-6480, www.mercyhospice.org.

The family is planning a celebration of his life rather than the traditional services which was what he wanted. Relatives and friends are invited to Union Street Public House in Old Town Alexandria on Saturday, July 14, 2-5 p.m.
