GEORGE EFTHEMES (Age 75)
Of Stafford, VA passed away Tuesday, May 1, 2012, at Mary Washington Hospital. Survivors include his wife, Patricia Efthemes of Stafford; his sons, Todd G. Efthemes and wife, Rachel of Phillipsburg, NJ, Gregory Efthemes and wife, Karen of Henderson, NV, Terry E. Efthemes of Colonial Beach, VA and Randy Efthemes of Alabama; his sister, Dorothy E. Wickom of Tennessee; and his grandchildren, Christie, Kyle, Nick and Jessica Efthemes. Services will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the charity of one's choice .

This federal will not forget the no nonsense attitude and work ethic Coach instilled in me.
I saw Terry @ HD of Washington not long ago he looked good and had his Dads drive,
you could see and feel it, Coach lives on.

My brother probably told me of George's passing, but I guess I forgot. George was a family friend from our family's first time living in the Alexandria area. He was married to Shirley in those days. When we came back 3 years later, he was divorced but dating Patty. The Efthemes family is one of the few who remained friends with my parents after their divorce.
I'll always remember you, George, for being such a good friend to my parents, treating me as myself rather than Susan and Steve's younger sister, and marrying such a cool lady as Patty! Loved that trip to New York!
