Ken Kanline (1967)

Mike Burns was one of those people you met in High School that, unless you paid close attention, you might have overlooked. I had the great pleasure of being his friend from 1967 until his recent passing, and working with him for over 14 years. He was one of the most interesting people I've ever met. He also became one of the most successful businessmen that Ft. Hunt ever produced, starting (and subsequently selling) his own national insurance company serving the homebuilding industry in the US. I hadn't seen Mike for ten years when he passed and it was a stark reminder to me of how important it is to maintain contact with the people you've loved in your life. The initiation of this forum comes at a particularly poigniant time.
