"Bonnie Chisholm (Deidrich) passed away from breast cancer on Sat.  Bonnie was Janet's sister, both went to Fort Hunt, Janet was in our class (’73).  Bonnie was class of ‘71 I believe.  I got to know both Bonnie and Janet well at UVA.  Janet transfered from Tech her third year and Bonnie received a masters in nursing from UVA and worked there while we were there with Randy Spotswood (Randy and Janet married).  Bonnie had been married for a short time then married a friend of ours, Charlie Deidrich from UVA.
Bonnie was full of life, a lot of fun but first had cancer 18 years ago right when she married Charlie.  She was in remission for over ten years but the last six years was being treated and within the last three months it spread to her bones and brain and she died quickly.  I saw her two weeks ago while she was at home.  Very sad, 57 years old." - Rick

A long time friend and, unfortunately, a recent mourner.  I knew Bonnie from the 2nd grade on and always knew that she was special.

I'm sorry to have seen that Bonnie passed away. We grew up together in Yacht Haven. She was a very special person.
