Leslie was quiet, shy, gentle, and a lot of fun. Originally from Vermont, she loved to ski. She won the title of "Friendliest Freak" for the class of 1974 (beating me for the "honor"). I valued her friendship for years after high school, but we fell out of touch in the late 1980s when we both moved. I missed her very much, and learning of her death saddened me greatly.
