In Memory

Robert Graham "Bob" Swiggard - Class Of 1973

Bob passed away comfortably and peacefully at Hospice of Wake County, Raleigh NC, on November 18, 2011.

Bob's friends will recall his great love of music -- especially for bands like Little Feat, Jackson Browne, Root Boy Slim, The Allan Parsons Project , DEVO, Southside Johnny and The Asbury Jukes. Springsteen when no on else had heard of him. Johnny and Edgar Winter. The list goes on and on and on.

This song dedication is for Bob from his brother, Dan ('79):

Dan, I'm so sorry for your loss.  I didn't know your brother Bob, but if he was anything like you then I'm certain he had a big heart and was great fun to be around.  You and your family are in my thoughts.  Love you.

I was very sad to hear of Bob’s recent passing. Bob and I were very close friends in the 1990’s and he was an important catalyst in my life. He was the first person to ever make me feel special, talented and worth something. He encouraged me to further my schooling, follow my artistic passion and he taught me to look for and appreciate the “magic moments” that we often miss in life, though they may be unfolding right before our eyes.

Bob was an intelligent, artistic, musically gifted and multi-talented man. He loved being outdoors, in the midst of nature, observing wildlife while capturing as much of it as he could with his camera. Bob was funny, kind and a truly unique person with the potential to do many great things.

Bob, I wish you much peace and happiness…somewhere out there...

With love, “Your Brave Companion of the Road” – Sandra

The following note was sent through me from Laura Colvin Butler:

Dan, Bill and family-I was shaken to the core to learn of Bob's death. I am so sorry for the your loss of your brother. He was the love of my life-I wish things had turned out differently for us.
