RICHARD PRICE BOWMAN


Richard Price Bowman, age 49, died at home in Alexandria, Virginia on Friday, February 3. 2012.  Born May 4, 1962 in Dayton, Ohio, he lived most of his life in Northern Virginia. He was a graduate of Fort Hunt High School and Virginia Tech, receiving a B.S. (1984) and M.S. (1986) in Civil Engineering, and became a principal at the firm of Seal Engineering, Inc. in 1990. He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Amy; his two children, Jonas and Caroline; his mother, Judith; brother, Donald; two sisters, Ruth Bowman String and Jennifer Bowman Scott; and many friends and relatives. Friends may call at Cunningham Funeral Home, 811 Cameron St., Alexandria, VA on Thursday, February 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral service will be Friday, February 10, 2:30 p.m., at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, 8710 Mount Vernon Highway, Alexandria, VA. Interment on Saturday at 11 a.m., Mount Comfort Cemetery.
 
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network (www.pancan.org) or the Lustgarten Foundation (www.lustgarten.org).
