Rest in peace my old friend. You were a cutie pie!!!
God has called home an angel.
I love you Bobi..
Sylvia, Osra, and Bailey;
I am heart broken over this! I really don't even know what to begin to say. Bob was awesome in everyway! I so admired the way he was so giving and gentle with the girls. It seemed he never said "no" to them and their request! I cannot count how many times Rebecca was blessed to spend time with Osra and her daddy. She would come home and tell me all the things Bob let them do!!!! and you know Rebecca she's got some idea's!!! My whole family has been blessed to know Bob and you. Please know your not only in our thoughts and prayers but our very soul hurts for you. Bunches of love to each of you,
Wes, Renee, Tabitha, and Rebecca Stricklen

It makes me so sad to think that one so full of life could be taken so young.
I really never knew Bobby when he was older than 13. He and his family lived for a brief time on Ridgecrest Road near my home, and we had a wonderful summer that year with neighborhood friends. Summer seemed to last forever in those days. We were all just "coming of age" ... the angst of growing up and difficult family situations (one of our friends lost his brother that year) were temporarily put from our minds as we ran free in the evening breezes, played basketball at Fritz's house until it was too dark to see, and then played flashlight tag among the fireflies until our parents forced us to come in.
When Bobby told us that he had to move again, we were all heartbroken. And although Bobby's indominable spirit and loyalty to his family buoyed him up through the frequent transitions, we found it difficult to resume life without him. Bobby just made life more exciting, more fun, and just.... sweeter. There was just something about him.
Buried somewhere in my childhood trunk, I still have the wrapper from an orange Charms pop that Bobby and I shared while we hid together under the stars.
I loved him.
