Mike McGuire - Class Of 1979

Michael J. McGuire 47, of Glenwood Springs, passed away July 29, 2009 in Thailand. Michael was born Sept. 22, 1961 in Dearborn Mich., to James A. McGuire and Lois Jackson-McGuire. Michael grew up in Alexandria Va., he learned the art of woodworking and moved to Glenwood Springs with his family to pursue his dreams.

He never had just an idea, through hard work and dedication he made all his dreams into realities. Shown by his successful business and by all the wonderful things he did for everyone who entered his path worldwide.

Michael was a Master Woodworker at Rocky Mountain Woodworking. He was also in the World hunger class organization.

Michael is preceded in death by his father, and niece, Crystal Stone.

Michael is survived by his mother, Lois; sons, Derek, Dylan and Marco; daughter, Chelsea; brothers, Patrick and Timothy; sisters, Therese Fuller, Maureen Stone, Kathleen Angelini, and Colleen Claussen, many nieces, nephews, uncles, aunts, and his beloved Raymundo.

A viewing will be Sunday, Aug. 9, at 7 p.m. at the Farnum Holt Funeral Home Chapel.

A funeral service will be Monday Aug. 10, 2009 at 11 a.m. at St. Stephens Catholic Church in Glenwood Springs with officiating clergy Father Bill Smith.

Family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Diabetes Association
