DECEASED ALUM - DANIEL SWIGGARD, FHHS '79
"Our dear friend Daniel "Swig" Swiggard passed away earlier this week from cardiac arrest. There will be a celebration of his life here along his beloved Potomac river at a later date. Please keep Dan's loved ones in your prayers. God bless you, Danny."

Donald Wells (1979)
The Wells family is forever grateful to the Swiggard family. Dan's Mother was instrumental in providing much needed guidance and advice when our family was going through complicated issues with one of our own. Dan also reached out to me as a friend offering his heartfelt assistance in any way needed. There was a personal bond between our families that was very significant at that time and gradually faded with the passing of time. The last time I saw him I thanked him for that bond.
Dan is the second classmate of mine to have passed recently who shared a personal family tragedy. My other friend Dan also shared something in common with us, that was a part of life that took us by suprise. I wasn't as close to either one of them in recent years, as I had been in the past, but we held a bond that was unspoken and deeply understood. My condolences go out to all of the friends and family of my dear departed classmate and friend. RIP
