Robert “Bob” Patrick Smithwick, 54, of Marietta died Sunday, January 25, 2015.
Bob was a loving father to his son Luke, who meant the world to him. He was a master Carpenter, passionate golfer and a fishing legend. He always strived to make people around him a little happier and was always there to lend a helping hand. He will truly be missed! We love you Bob!
A Prayer Service was held at Mayes Ward-Dobbins Funeral Home in Marietta, GA.
Survivors include one son, Lucas Patrick Smithwick; sister, Susan Smithwick; niece, Emily Smithwick; and nephew, Mac Smithwick.

Teresa "Terry" Kinder (Alers) (1979)
Bob was my neighbor on Candlewood Road during our high school years. We spent many long summer days hanging out together with the neighborhood kids on "the bridge". The last time I saw Bob was around 1990 in Oakton, VA, when we bumped into each other during our lunch break. We shared a very nice, if too short, chat. Bob was humble, kind, and sweet. May he rest in peace. My condolences to Susan and to Luke, and their families.

I was just thinking about Bob the other day, so I'm sad to hear this news of his passing. I haven't seen him since high school, and remember how funny he was and how many wonderful friends he had - and I'm sure still had over the years.
